Synopsis

Gerry Burton erholt sich in Begleitung seiner Schwester Joanna nach einem Flugzeugunglück in Lymston. Kurz nach ihrer Ankunft erhält er einen anonymen Brief. Er erfährt von Owen Griffith, dem örtlichen Arzt, dass einige andere Dorfbewohner auch solche Briefe mit Verdächtigungen erhalten haben. Dies veranlasst Maud Calthrop, die Frau des Pfarrers, die Hilfe ihrer alten Freundin Jane Marple in Anspruch zu nehmen.
